However, not all of these enemies need to be killed nor even seen at all if said players learn the routes and follow the mission objectives to a T.
Have at least two in the party bring some armor, too, because (despite the fact that you will most certainly die a ton) at least one of you must stay alive for all of this to work accordingly.Īll four of the varied Spec-Ops levels spew an immense amount of foes for players to go up against, from armored ground units and juggernauts to attack helicopters and tanks. You may also want to think about bringing in a cluster strike, sentry turret, or precision airstrike, as these three Munition crates offer the best bang for your buck, but be careful for you don't want to waste all of those hard-earned points if your entire team is going to die five minutes into the mission.
Having an abundance of ammunition in Spec-Ops is fundamentally key to survival and victory. If you not only want to learn from the pros but be one of them, I'd also recommend having two of your three possible Munitions slots filled with ammo crates. I would also have an Engineer present, mainly for taking down juggernauts and choppers, as well as an Assault role filled, for its Team Stopping Power, which boosts your entire squad's damage output. As for one's role, I strongly suggest having at least two in your crew as Medics, because the Team Revive special of picking up all downed teammates helps in extremely tight situations. In addition to having your own personal loadouts, Spec Ops offers various selections in terms of your player's "Role" and "Munitions," both of which can be found below the Edit Loadouts tab and are crucial for success. This is key because without someone acting as a lookout, you'll all most likely fall to the brutality of the mission and its hectic nature. There should also be at least one in your squad with a sniper. All of this is to boost mobility and to allow for as much ammunition as possible, because even when players die you don't replenish ammo, which is an absolute bummer but definitely makes Spec Ops extremely difficult. On the XRK, I've exchanged the laser for a 50-round clip, switched the under-barrel attachment and stock to the merc foregrip and Singuard arms invader, respectively. I utilize two primaries in Headhunter, the M91 light machine gun and the M4A1 XRK variant. For Headhunter, specifically, players will want to allocate enough ammunition in their loadouts to avoid running out of ammo, because ammunition in every single Spec-Ops mission is scarce.
#CALL OF DUTY SPEC OPS UPDATE#
Especially given the fact that players can update and progress even when playing Spec-Ops missions and Survival mode, the game has this all-around streamlined feel to it and knowing the best weapons attachments is key to winning (that being in any mode). While Modern Warfare still needs to bring back that shovel, there is an array of weapons and customization options that make the game feel so personalized, unlike any Call of Duty before it.
